Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 July 2026

This page is maintained by the Talk Spark team to explain, in plain language, what happens to your data when you practise with the app. It describes our current practices and is not an independent audit or certification.

What we process

  • Microphone audio recorded while a session is active, so it can be transcribed.
  • Transcripts and conversation text, used to generate replies, hints and study materials.
  • Session choices such as your topic and selected native language.

Talk Spark does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, address or payment details to use the practice app.

How it is used

Your audio and text are processed only to deliver the session you started: transcribing what you said, producing a spoken reply, and writing your study pack. Your session content lives in your browser while you practise and is not published or sold.

Service providers

To run the app, audio and text are sent to third-party providers acting as processors: a speech provider for speech-to-text and text-to-speech, and a language-model provider for conversation, hints and study materials. Their own terms and privacy policies govern their handling of that data. The app is hosted on the Lovable platform.

Retention

Talk Spark does not maintain a user database of your conversations. Audio is held only for as long as needed to transcribe it, and session content is cleared when you close or reload the app. Downloaded study packs are stored by you, on your own device.

Your choices

You control microphone access through your browser and can revoke it at any time. Ending a session turns the microphone off. If you have a question or request about your data, email hello@talkspark.co.

Children

Talk Spark is intended for users aged 16 and over, or younger learners with adult supervision.

Changes

We will update this page and its date whenever our practices change.
